The Choir sang at the White House at the signing of H.R. 5501, the Tom Lantos and Henry J. Hyde United States Global Leadership Against HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria Reauthorization Act of 2008.
They spent some time with President George W. Bush and Mrs. Bush.
During the event, Ray Barnett presented President Bush with the Malaika award, in recognition of the tremendous support he has shown Africa during his terms in office.
The Malaika award is the Choir's highest honor, and is bestowed upon those who have made an exceptional contribution to Africa's most vulnerable children.
